Cabochon Templates

John F. Heusler G. G. designed these templates based on his artistic taste. John is an award winning jewelry designer and has been cutting gems for over 44 years as well as offering training to budding lapidaries wanting to learn from one of the most well-regarded gemstone artists in the industry. His articles in Lapidary Journal/Jewelry Artist Magazine the past few years showcase many of these cuts. These templates are made from durable PVC pliable plastic and are semi transparent with rounded corners. That transparency is important to see the slab and where fractures are, so you can work around them and avoid including them in your final cabochon. Use these templates to stencil your cab shapes onto slabs with a scribe before trimming.
